Drilling for Sanity

The stink of ten thousand dogs dying

The stink of heat and flesh

A flash of pink in the hot sunlight

White worms curl and heave

In the lithium grease below.

The ground is heating up

I am gray and scared

Grinding and drilling

Burning beneath the sea

I've seen sparks before

But never like this.

Life

I choose to live a life below

Feeling rages and appetites

Through the mad physical senses

Heated days and freezing nights.

One day I'll return to the fire

From which I was a spark

Leaving the cares and senses behind

Abandoning the dark.

Here, reader.

Wandering lost in fourteen lines,

Trying to find me.

The figure you glimpsed,

Waiting for you in the doorway before you,

Running down the stairs,

In the half dark,

You realize, was yourself.

I have left a light shining behind you.

alex

glassed in feeling

falling

he knows where he's going

to the top of the jello mold

and I will wave hello

when he arrives.

Oh, Alex, did you remember

the marshmallows and pistachios?

They're very important.

Heart of Betrayal

each step I take forward

-- your eyes painted on my back

struggling to let go

misconceptions of my chivalry

your heart has to let go

black train awaits my entrance

tears are not worth my departure --

I get closer to heart of betrayal

Enigma

"Stupid fool" She said laughingly

Evil lurking in her fiery eyes

Her voice piercing through my flesh

Nails vicious like Medusa

Time changes people very quickly

It always gets dark after light

Many mysteries wander the night

Her face covering poisonous knives

Ready to cut flesh in an instant

She was sweet . . . . . . . . . .

DISBANDED AND DISHONORED

GIVEN THE LONG ROPE OF TIME

FREE TO MAKE WHATEVER KNOTS IT TAKES

TO ENTWINE OUR WEARY SOULS IN HELL

AND OF COURSE THERE ALSO ALWAYS COMES A GIFT

WHICH GIVES OUR PLIGHT SOME IMMORTALITY

ALTHOUGH WE ARE TRULY DAMNED

WE WILL BE REMEMBERED

He Just Likes the Girls

They listen intently,

yet he doesn't know why.

Nor does he car,

He just likes the girls.

They laugh wholeheartedly,

and of course, he laughs too.

He thinks they are laughing with him,

He just likes the girls.

They clap joyfully, inwardly, at the stage

He wouldn't care to know that they don't clap for him.

Because HE...he just likes the girls

My Death (After)

The two approached me

My eyes still open

Looking

Looking into nothing

They pried my wallet

From my cold

Red fingers

And left.

My Death

I died

From a shot

Of a gun

And to think that

I was in a safe environment

To think that

I lived in a perfect world

I was wrong

And I was dead

(No Title)

Even though I am blind

I can see

Even though I am deaf

I can hear

Even though I am mute

I can talk

Even though I don't exist

I live

"My Volleyball Queen Daydream"

My Volleyball Queen daydream

About a young, beautiful girl

A queen mature but playful

She sips on Mickeys Big Mouth

She talks with those looks

My Volleyball Queen daydream

About a young, beautiful girl

A body of God's greatest creations

A personality that never dulls

Quite mysteries of the brain

Nothing end this dream

Nothing ends my dream

My Volleyball Queen daydream.

Sands through the hourglass move

slowly as the time we have to spend apart

is coming to an end;

We are so close to living out our

dreams, yet we are still far away

from each other;

Will we ever be truly free,

no one knows, but we must try

before our love dies forever;

--*--

Doomsday's calling

a fatal cry

The blood of the nation

stains the sky

The people's law takes control

revolt seeps in the nation's soul

Release the prisoners

Raise the dead

Put those in power

In jail instead

My Immortal

Be my angel as midnight comes

and from the darkness protect me.

Guide me from the blinding dark

and on the other side of night emerge.

Within and without see me through the tides;

low hover and watch the demons with keen eye.

Part from this place on the morn

and return again at the close of day.

And again fend off the spirits

of the midnight hour.

Powder Dreams

Share the grains

over the counter

Drug-dealt dreams

from the back of the brain

Air-stream blood

In the side of an ending

Dream-deal pain

from the fear of no end
